Mark 3:8-21 The Scriptures 1998 (ISR98)

8. Even from Yerushalayim, and from Eḏom and beyond the Yardĕn, and those around Tsor and Tsiḏon, a large crowd came to Him when they heard how much He was doing.

9. And He spoke to His taught ones, that a small boat should be kept ready for Him because of the crowd, lest they should press upon Him.

10. For He healed many, so that as many as had afflictions fell upon Him to touch Him.

11. And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried out, saying, “You are the Son of Elohim.”

12. But He warned them many times that they should not make Him known.

13. And He went up on the mountain and called to Him whom He wished, and they came to Him.

14. And He appointed twelve to be with Him, and to be sent out to proclaim,

15. and to possess authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.

16. And He appointed the twelve: Shim‛on, to whom He added the name Kĕpha;

17. and Ya‛aqoḇ the son of Zaḇdai, and Yoḥanan the brother of Ya‛aqoḇ, to whom He added the name Beni-Reg̅es, that is, “Sons of Thunder,”

18. and Andri, and Philip, and Bartholomi, and Mattithyahu, and T’oma, and Ya‛aqoḇ son of Alphai, and Taddai, and Shim‛on the Kena‛anite;

19. and Yehuḏah from Qerioth, who did also deliver Him up. And they went into a house,

20. and again the crowd came together, so that they were unable even to eat bread.

21. And when His relatives heard about this, they went out to seize Him, for they said, “He is out of His mind.”
