Luke 5:1-7 The Scriptures 1998 (ISR98)

1. And it came to be, while the crowd was pressing upon Him to hear the word of Elohim, that He stood by the Lake of Gennĕsar,

2. and He saw two boats standing by the lake, but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets.

3. And entering into one of the boats, which belonged to Shim‛on, He asked him to pull away a little from the land. And He sat down and was teaching the crowds from the boat.

4. And when He ceased speaking, He said to Shim‛on, “Pull out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

5. And Shim‛on answering, said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught none, but at Your word I shall let down the net.”

6. And when they did so, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking,

7. and they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they were sinking.
