1. And it came to be, on one of those days, as He was teaching the people in the Set-apart Place and bringing the Good News, that the chief priests and the scribes, together with the elders, came up
2. and spoke to Him, saying, “Say to us, by what authority are You doing these? Or who is he who gave You this authority?”
3. And He answering, said to them, “I shall ask you one question too, and answer Me:
4. “The immersion of YohÌ£anan – was it from heaven or from men?”
5. And they debated among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He shall say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’
