1. Then he showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.
2. And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you! Is this not a burning brand taken out of the fire?”
3. Now Joshua had on filthy garments and was standing before the angel.
4. And he said to those standing before him, “Take off his filthy garments.”Then he said, “See that I have removed from you your iniquity, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”
5. And I said, “Let them place a pure turban on his head.” So they put a pure turban on his head and garments on him. And the angel of the Lord was standing by.
6. And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying,
7. “Thus says the Lord of Hosts: If you walk in My ways and keep My charge, then you will judge My house and guard My courts, and I will give to you access to these who are standing here.
8. “Hear this, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends sitting before you, for these men are a sign. I am bringing My servant, the Branch.
9. The stone that I have set before Joshua, on that single stone is seven eyes. And I will engrave an inscription, says the Lord of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day.
10. “On that day, says the Lord of Hosts, each of you will invite your companion to come and sit under the vine and under the fig tree.”
