Matthew 7:5-18 King James 2000 (KJ2000)

5. You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then shall you see clearly to cast out the speck out of your brother's eye.

6. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and tear you.

7. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8. For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

9. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10. Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11. If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12. Therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13. Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be who go in there:

14. Because narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.

15. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16. You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17. Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit.

18. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
