2-3. How long are they pregnantbefore they deliver?

4. Soon their young grow strongand then leaveto be on their own.

5. Who set wild donkeys free?

6. I alone help them survivein salty desert sand.

7. They stay far from crowded citiesand refuse to be tamed.

8. Instead, they roam the hills,searching for pasture land.

9. Would a wild ox agreeto live in your barnand labour for you?

10. Could you force him to ploughor to drag a heavy logto smooth out the soil?

11. Can you depend on himto use his great strengthand do your heavy work?

12. Can you trust himto harvest your grainor take it to your barnfrom the threshing place?

13. An ostrich proudlyflaps her wings,but not becauseshe loves her young.

14. She abandons her eggsand lets the dusty groundkeep them warm.

15. And she doesn't seem to worrythat the feet of an animalcould crush them all.

16. She treats her eggs as thoughthey were not her own,unconcerned that her workmight be for nothing.

17. I myself made her foolishand without common sense.

18. But once she starts running,she laughs at a rideron the fastest horse.

19. Did you give horses their strengthand the flowing hairalong their necks?
